This visa:

A temporary visa that allows international students to live, study and work after they have finished their studies in Australia.

Who is Eligible?

To be eligible for this visa, you must:

• Satisfy the two-year study rule within the previous 6 months through the completion of an Australian degree, diploma or trade qualification
• Be younger than 50 years of age
• Meet the English language requirement
• Hold an eligible visa
• Meet health and character requirements
• Have health insurance in Australia

Graduate Work Stream Requirements

• Nomination of an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List
• Your application includes evidence that you had applied for a skills assessment for your nominated skilled occupation.
• Your skills were assessed on the basis of a qualification obtained in Australia while you held a student visa, the qualification must have been obtained as a result of studying a CRICOS-registered course.
• Each degree, diploma or trade qualification used to meet the Australian study requirement is closely related to your nominated skilled occupation.

Post-study Work Stream Requirements

• You applied for, and were granted, your first student visa to Australia on or after  5 November 2011
• You hold an eligible qualification.
• Qualification must have been obtained as a result of studying a CRICOS-registered course.

Second Post-study Work Stream Requirements

This visa is for holders of a Temporary Graduate visa (first Post-Study Work stream or Replacement stream) who graduated with a degree from an Australian institution located in a regional area. It lets you live, work and study in Australia, temporarily. Between 1 and 2 years depending on:

• the regional location of the educational institution that you graduated from that led to the grant of your first Temporary Graduate visa in the post-study work stream
• the regional area that you live in as the holder of your first Temporary Graduate visa in the post-study work stream, or your Temporary Graduate visa in the replacement stream
